Ok, you're right, it is Veteran's Day, and fall is almost over. Every so often I like to look back at my images and pick ones that may have slipped through the cracks and have never made it to the blog. And share some that I think are worthy of another look. So here you have it, my favorite images from June, July, and August, 2008.
I am in awe over the dragonfly pictures. Looking at your earlier posts of them made me want to adventure out and take my own images of them, which I did. Thanks for the inspiration.
Tom: I truly enjoyed your photos except for the one that gave me a chill. You could have left the slithering snake for another day. I have an fear of snakes and admit it.
Nina- Finally! I was dying for someone to want to know more about them. They are Federally Threatened Lake Erie Watersnakes- The most I've ever seen together- sunning themselves on a jetty on Middle Bass Island.
your photography leaves me breathless....absolutely wonderful! well...except for that pit of snakes. lol everything is so clear and sharp, colors so true. perfection!
Gorgeous pictures Tom! All but the snakes, what can I say once bitten always shy. The parrot is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWow, where is that house? It looks like one I went to a garage sale at last spring. The folks were selling it, so even the sign fits. LOL
ReplyDeleteGreat macro shots!
I am still amazed by the second pic...I can't believe how far we've come since that day with 2 pink lines! Wow!
ReplyDeleteI also am a huge fan of the cow pic. The pic of the house before we owned it, however, just makes me nervous...
Shannon- We live in Worthington.

ReplyDeleteThose are some great shots! Well worth posting! I love the crab spiders and I don't think I want to ask about that pile of snakes!
ReplyDeleteCool snakes--had to chime in to balance others' dismay!
ReplyDeleteMy question:
where and what are they?

Hills- Thank you. That is a Lorikeet from the Columbus Zoo.
ReplyDeleteShannon- That would be funny if you visited our house before we bought it!
Thanks Christy. I'm glad that you've discovered dragons and damsels. Their colors, behaviors and acrobatics are amazing.
Thanks Louise.
Tom- That is OK. I jump when I see a snake as well if I'm not expecting one.
Thanks Mary.
Thanks everyone, have a great rest of the week.
