  1. Wow! Ohio orchids! Very cool!

Other than the orchids (I'd have to look them up to identify which is which), I'd say 1 is an azalea, no idea on 2, 3 is a tiarella, and 6 is a dwarf crested iris. How did I do? (I have some of that tiarella, which I got in another location in Ohio, where there were oodles of them. It's quite happy in my garden and has multiplied quite a bit since 2008.

  2. Amazing photos! Especially that sedge, it was one I wanted to ID!

How about a hint? Does it start with a "B"?

  5. Okay Tom, without looking at anyone else's answers:
    1: Pinxter flower
2: sedge (can't remember the species, but I got a pic of it, too)
    3: Foam flower
    4: Pink lady's slipper
5: Whorled Begonia (of which all my pictures came out horribly!) Thanks for sharing these. They are lovely.
    6: Dwarf Crested Iris
    7: Showy Orchus
Doing this at work, so I don't have my notes to cheat off of! :)
I REALLY hope to get some of my photos up on my blog this weekend, and onto the Flickr page, too.
