It Wasn't Always Raining in Maine

Skies in Maine are always quite remarkable. Here's a shot of what was typical for Megan and I's time in Maine- Intermittent rain showers coupled with filtered sunlight.

We spent an afternoon in Bridgton, Maine, a little vacation town, surrounded by gorgeous lakes. It is bodies of water like this that bring people to western Maine. We sat on the small town beach and took in the clean air, cool breeze, and warm filtered sunshine.

Sigh.........just wish it was a little closer to visit again.

  3. Wow! That sky's something else! Love both shots. Enjoyed the birch (we don't have them down here--I miss them.)

  7. Thanks everyone-

These are 3 image composite HDR's. Busy field day today, and we have both been very busy getting our stuff unpacked and settling into our new house in addition to remodeling it! It has been quite a project that we are getting in- But we're hoping to be at this house for a long time, so all the hard work is worth it!

  8. Wow, that looks like a beautiful spot to just be sitting and thinking, so calm and refreshing. Not like my drizzly London street!

  9. This really has been a wet summer around here but at least you were able to take advantage and get some great photos when the weather did break.
