Swamp- Your blog is great, I always look forward to seeing pictures of the NC!
Florida- She was looking both at me and the camera, and down at the seeds when she didn't know that I was looking!
In the back of my mind though, I really do think that my windowsill cardinals would love to come into our nice warm house for a few minutes at a time to escape the snow and ice.
The most DARLING photos, TOM!!! We have also had birds doing antics at the window every once in a while, looking inside. Doesn't it make winter worth it. :D
Tell the female cardinal her mate is in our yard.
I always think of letting the birds inside too when it's frigid outside.
She's so cute, and looks so curious! I have to agree with Megan, though, maybe a parakeet in the house, but the wild cardinals will have to just appreciate your bedroom from the window sill! mom
What a great series of shots! Thanks for brightening my day. Happy March!
ReplyDeleteare you sure she wasn't just curious about her reflection in the glass?

"Ummm...excuse me...anyone home?" "Please?!" Very cute! No birds in the house!
ReplyDeleteTom, such a wonderful series of photos and I love her many expressions!

These are amazing shots. So vivid and alive, I loving seeing this Cardinal up so close. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteJJ-
ReplyDeleteThanks JJ. I will tell her to head to Michigan.
Megan- Ok. Tortoises and fish will have to suffice.
Bob-Thank you. There were fun to take, and I really got lucky that she stuck around long enough for me to get my camera and even take some pictures.
Monarch- Thanks. These were the same set as the shot from before, but I wanted to show the others because this cardinal just had tons of personality.
Mom- I don't think that any birds will be on our pet list for a long time.
Lime and Tequila- I wish it was summer. Thats all I can think about right now...Florida, here I come. Great name BTW. Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks Everyone!
Tom
Love the expression on her face. Maybe she's just tying to get some place with no snow, too.
ReplyDeleteWren-
ReplyDeleteI think you've got it. I'm sure she was thinking the bedroom looked mighty warm and snow free!

Oh my gosh... this reminded me of a series of photos posted by Bill Adams on Flickr about a "Terrorist" cardinal that has been quite the annoyance.

Thanks Jennifer, that was a great story. This one wasn't quite as aggressive!
