Bexley Public Radio WCRX

Today I sat in with Amy Maurer who hosts a local garden show on recent startup radio station WCRX 102.1 F-M-L-P (LP stands for "Low Power!"). We chatted about the Division of Natural Areas & Preserves, the invasive species that we manage in our State Nature Preserves, and a little bit about the great wave of migrating birds that is sweeping through Columbus right now. It was great fun! The station is only on the air for two hours each day, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00. Today's show was live, and it is possible that it may be repeated in the future. I'll be sure to let everyone know so that they can listen in. Right now, the operation is pretty simple, but it seems like they are really into making a go at getting this station up and running for the long term. Very cool.

  2. Thanks Megan! I was glad to help out Amy. I think it is very cool that there is a radio station here in Columbus that thinks that nature is important and wants to put the subject on the airwaves!
