Lakeside Daisy Open House

While you are up on the lake looking at birds, be sure to stop by Lakeside Daisy State Nature Preserve this Saturday. The Division of Natural Areas and Preserves is holding its annual open house, highlighting the federally threatened Lakeside Daisy. This plant only grows in limestone quarries on the Marblehead peninsula and on Kelleys Island, and should be in peak bloom. The bright yellow flowers carpet the floor of the abandoned quarry.
