Yellow-throated Warbler

Back when Megan and I lived a mere one minute walk from the Olentangy River, this was a bird that I got to know well.  When I visited my old stomping grounds on Saturday April 10th, this male yellow-throated warbler was calling incessantly from the branch tips of a towering riverside sycamore.

Super Warbler!

  1. Not a big fan of birds, but I'm a big fan of photography. I'd just like to say that the photo of the Super Warbler is amazing!

  2. I've been cruising through, especially your amphibian posts, for the first time. Aaah! How did I luck into someone who even knew a Jefferson salamander? I'm stuck happily in Oregon but I miss the salamanders of my (East coast) youth, and am just now headed east ostensibly to go birding (but I'm really going to be rolling logs). Your photographs are magnificent and I'm happy you let us all see them.

  3. Thanks Abby- This was a surprise shot- I didn't know I had the flying warbler image until I downloaded the images.

Hi Murr- Whenever I'm along with birders, and I start rolling logs, they just don't get it. They look at each other with confusion on their faces. Thank you for the kind words.
