Ohio Birds

Today, I photographed several birds that either nest in or migrate through Ohio.

First, a chestnut-sided warbler.

Second, an eastern bluebird,

And finally, a male wood duck.

  2. Thank you.

I must say, while most of the birds in the aviary appeared normal, the two eastern bluebirds did look a bit stressed. I'm sure that they were longing to be sitting on a fencepost along a cow pasture, rather than being cooped up in this relatively small woodland aviary. It did give me an excellent opportunity to get some great photographs.

  3. We have had American Goldfinch this year at our feeder. What fun. We call them the dolphins of the sky because of how they fly. They were all around us this summer wherever we went biking.
