According to the Columbus Dispatch, America's most famous climate predicting groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, has correctly predicted the outcome of winter for eight of the past ten years. Ohio's own groundhog, Buckeye Chuck, from Marion, has prognosticated correctly six times over the same span. Phil, not only are you more famous than Chuck, you're better at what you do. Congratulations. But I hope Chuck is right this year, since he did not see his shadow, and Megan and I are ready for spring.
Tom
I am also ready for spring and hats off to your Chuck!
ReplyDeleteI hate to break it to you, but the Vernal Equinox is still 6 weeks away, regardless of what the rodents portend. <:O
ReplyDeleteJeff and I are longing for spring. Had a hint of it yesterday in the air and slushy snow. I think it'll come sooner than later too. :D
ReplyDeleteHave a super day!!!
Hugs, JJ
Yeah, 6 freezin weeks. I wonder if this weather we get will restore the ice bergs? LOL
ReplyDeleteI am so ready for spring- but if it can't come early, perhaps a warm vacation? :-)
ReplyDeleteTom-
ReplyDeleteBring it on. Dr. Jeff from Weather Underground said on his recent blog that severe winter weather for the U.S. is most likely over, so maybe chuck will be right.
Lana- I'm going to go with Dr. Jeff as far as predictions jo.
JJ- It will be here soon. The invasive Ranuculus ficaria will be up soon in the park behind my house. It started to shoot in January, but died back.
Abraham- It is possible, you never know!
Megan- About a month and we'll be in Florida!
