Lately I've been showing photographs of the sunrise, but this evening, I photographed the evening sunset. I was struck by the contrast between the natural lines created by the gnarled bur oak limbs and the crossing angles created by the contrails just above the horizon.

Amazing! Your sky photos are certainly spectacular. You prove that you don't have to travel to faraway exotic locations to find wondrous beauty.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful photo and tree! Love the sky colors too. Were there planes flying prior?
ReplyDeleteWonderful shot. Love these colors.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteFriends- Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHi Tom - great shot! I was cruising thriough your blog and found a post about a speckled violet in your lawn - April 20 2009 ("You Never Know What You'll Find in the Backyard"). I working on my dissertation at OSU and this plant would be of great relevance to my work. Please email me for more details - dwhr hotmail.com
ReplyDeletePretty! Perfect lights and colors. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteJust happened upon this blog and wanted to say what a great photo this is! Presents a very dramatic perspective with this gnarly tree! I especially love the photo at the top of your page. Brings back memories of visiting an abandoned old farmhouse out on the prairie in Ohio.
